The Malawi Stool takes its inspiration from a simpler chair found around the shores of Lake Malawi. Working with the basic essence of the design, People of the Sun transformed the aesthetic with intricately woven patterns, creating the iconic Malawi stool that will never go out of style.  The HD version is slightly bigger and is further pushing the boundaries between design and rural malawian craftmanship. 

Each Malawi Stool is  woven with a rich sense of cultural tradition and is handmade out of blue gum, bamboo and rattan.
